Luna Park - where do I start?
Since visiting Melbourne Luna Park Georgie has also been to Sydney Luna Park (with Nanna and Pop for her birthday).
Luna Park is one of her most favourite places. Don't start her talking on it, she won't stop.
She'd been asking to go to Luna Park for ages, so while in Melbourne we thought we'd head down for a look.

One of these people is full to the brim with excitement and one is just not fussed as he's found out there's no Thomas on the big train track, one is already exhausted from having to calm someone down - can you guess which is which?

She wouldn't stand or walk right under the nose - in case snot came out. :o)
Looks fairly clean to me.
She had dreams of going on this - we had nightmares. (She didn't go on it, it's height restricted.)
Getting Georgie on the merry-go-round wasn't hard, holding her back until it was her turn was.
James, on the other hand, well he didn't want to go on the merry-go-round. Why? Well it was Daddy who got the adult ticket, not Mummy, and he wanted Mummy.
He did eventually cheer up a little, he caught a little of his sister's excitement.
The elephant ride seemed to go down well.
Daddy was very excited.
Then James discovered the clowns. He begged and begged to have a go. We let him, of course. What fun is it going to Luna Park if you don't get to play the clowns?
I forget what piece of not-worth-the-$5-you-pay-to-play he got. Oh yes I can, a windmill thing.

Of course then Georgie had to have a go - she won the same prize.
They would have kept playing these things all day, they didn't care about the prizes they just liked the whole ball in the mouth thing.
This was a ride James could go on by himself. Except he wouldn't. It took Georgie having several goes and giggling her head off before he'd get on.
When he did he loved it.
There were buttons to push that made noises and he could sit in the blue plane.
The more the kids played on it (there was no line) the more other people came to play.
The only problem was that the sun was actually beating down quite hard and it warmed up the seats so the kids found them hot to sit on.
So by now we're tired.
We've had dodgy amusement park food for lunch - with prices that would rival a 5 star restaurant and on the quality - I'd rave, but unfortunately I can't.
Georgie was desperate to go on rides for the older kids by now. James just wanted a snow cone.
So Dan took her on one of the not-quite-so-big-but-still-pretty-fast-and-scarey roller coasters.
That's her, clinging on, 2nd last seat.
Dad was finding it amusing.

And towards the end of the ride she got used to it and enjoyed it a little.
James was quite taken with the trams round Melbourne - here's one inside Luna Park.
An exhausting day, but they both enjoyed themselves and Georgie will still talk about it, if you're brave enough to ask her.

A boy after my own heart--the clowns were always the BIG treat at the Easter Show.
