Seeing as we're nearly half way through the year is it fair to say these photos are reminiscing about New Year's Eve?
It was a good NYE - we'd been down to Wangaratta earlier in the day and stopped at the park on the way home, we could see something was going on and another lady at the park told us about that nights events. We decided to take everyone down because Beechworth is fairly quiet these days on NYE.
We grabbed some chicken and chips (with about 10 minutes to spare, every year we forget *everything* closes early on NYE) and headed down to the park with our picnic blanket.

Here are the kids racing off to have a play on the equipment. Georgie couldn't wait, there were lots of kids! Grandad's following to keep an eye on them.
They had the first lot of fireworks at 9pm.
It was great, we were really close, but we didn't realise how much G would hate it.
The noise was way too loud for her and she hid for most of it.
James, on the other hand, wanted the 'bang bang' to do more.
After the fireworks they showed Mama Mia, G would have loved to stay, but we had to get the cranky old man home. ;o)
