We took a trip down to Eldorado.
Another old gold mining town of the area.
The road in - love the clouds.
There is this great big "thing" sitting on a man made pond down in Eldorado.
It's for mining gold and not only would it dredge everything up and run it through the 'factory' inside this great big floating warehouse, it also dug it's own creek as it went.
The kids loved being on an adventure.
There were lots of things to do, look at and throw of course.
Pretty weeds.
You can see the 'thing' from everywhere.
We started walking the whole way round the pond.
And we found this little beach.
The old man with the stick.
I think there might have been trolls under this bridge.
The machine again.
Look at the size of those buckets.
The machine is about three stories high.
I imagine it would have been extremely hot in summer and absolutely freezing during winter.
We all enjoyed our little explore.
