Challenger... are you ready? Gladiator... are you ready?

Last weekend, not the one just gone, the one before, Georgie found some triangle cardboard pieces in some packaging that was undone.
She instantly put them on her biceps and proclaimed herself "super strong" with "cardboard trian-gile muscles" (she'd come down to the gym on the Friday and was a bit obsessed with all the weights and weight lifting... no she didn't come into the gym part, we walked past it to get to the creche, but she's already an exercise fiend and this just fired up her imagination).

That night I was flicking and found "Gladiators" on Ch7. Now all the other kids in the street watch it and were talking about it/role playing it earlier in the day, so as not to have her feeling left out I turned it on for her. (Try explaining Gladiators to a 4 year old with a razor sharp mind, it's hard.)

So with that introduction...

Ladies and Gentlemen I'd like to introduce to you our Gladiator...
"GrlPower"

The first game is called "Round and Round you go".

It involves an empty Soda Water bottle and the newly assembled washing trolley.

The idea is to catch the Challenger and beat him with the bottle.

And in the Challenger's corner we have ...Dadddddyyyyyyy. (crowd goes wild, well sort of)

-So Daddy have you done much training for tonights battle?

-Nope, just got my hair cut.

Challenger, are you ready? (Nod)

Gladiator, are you ready? (Nod, growl)

3 2 1 (whistle)

We have our winner!

Challenger you can take protection for the next game which involves being beaten to death with the above bottle, but no washing trolley for you to hide behind.

And the audience here tonight roar with (laughter) appreciation as GrlPower takes her place on the podium for this game too.

Our final game is to wrestle in the Living Room and not kill yourself on all the toys.
The challenger is up for this one.


And he almost has her...

But once again GrlPower reins supreme.
