The Easter Disco

More March Madness!!!

Kindy had an "Easter Disco" on the Wednesday before Easter and we headed along.

Georgie loved it. The teachers (well mainly Beryl and Brendon) danced with the kids.

They danced the dances they learn during the day like the chicken dance and 'Going on a Bear Hunt' (bit hard to do in a dress as you have to do a 'polar bear walk' around the room), musical chairs, as well as musical statues with an interesting twist.

When the music stopped Brendon would yell out tree, toilet or traffic light and the kids would race to find other kids and make the shape yelled. I'll show you in photos.

When they did it again and she was the bowl she held her arms out like a big round toilet bowl. Apart from being a little bit icky and very much a boy thing, it's worth a giggle while they all race to make 'toilets'.

And the traffic light.

So in case you don't get it, trees = 1 person, toilet = 2 people and traffic lights = 3 people.

The bigger kids were quite good at this game.

And here's our budding little disco dancer, bouncing away as usual. I'm sure in his little head he couldn't understand why he just couldn't head out and dance with the kids, he did try his hardest to get there.

Poor Dan was exhausted after it all because Jamie bounced in his arms for most the night.
