Well it is a Sheep Show..

There is more at the show than all the goodies the ladies are clambering for.
Of course these things are far more interesting to a two year old terror as well.
For example - sheep yarding. And fleece.
Ok, the fleece wasn't interesting to him, I threw it in for good measure.

It just looks so nice.
And then there's the sheep.
These area all Poll Merinos.

They eyed me and James up very suspiciously.
They weren't friendly to pat... especially the big boys with horns.
They made baaaing sounds which James found amusing.
And they had farmers digging in the wool on their backs, but we just looked at their fronts.

By now James is all sheeped out and we've only been through one tent.
We started in the English breeds tent and I'd love to tell you what kid of sheep this one with a lovely little brown face is, but by now James was begging not go into this tent.
Admittedly it was much more claustrophobic and sheep aren't particularly friendly.
So we let them be and went off to find something a little more interesting and exotic.
