It's official - we're going to Hawaii!
Well first Dan, Jem and I are going to Punta Mita, Mexico http://www.fourseasons.com/puntamita/ here to be precise for a lovely little trip with all the other lucky people from his company. This should be good seeing as his boss's husband has been painting our house I have had a chance to chat to him and he's very amusing... and I enjoy the company of some of the other wives/girlfriends I've met too.

Then on the way home we're stopping off in Hawaii. The island of Maui I think. *insert happy hula dance here*
And due to the fact that we spend too much on our credit card and Daniel flies a little too often we're flying Grandma and Georgie (courtesy of Virgin Atlantic frequent flyer points) over to meet us in Maui. Double yay!

Georgie is already excited about the volcanos (thanks to Dora the Explorer) and she's a sucker for a piece of beach anywhere, but we thought our little party girl might also enjoy a luau and a hula show. (Ok we weren't adverse to the idea either... but it's all for the kids). Other things we're looking forward to (from the kids point of view of course) eating coconuts, pineapples and sugar cane, seeing brightly coloured fish (well James might have to miss that one), buying something very American with Mickey Mouse on it (G's favourite) and just generally shopping for useless souveneirs like leis, kissing salt and pepper shakers and of course a grass skirt. (We might even run into a few Elvis impersonators reliving scenes from Blue Hawaii)

So we'll be going in May, shortly after we take a trip to Maleny to see my Grandparents for my Grandfather's 90th birthday. What a busy month. Oh it's our 5 year wedding anniversary , so we can just think of this trip as the celebration. See honey that gets you out of buying me a diamond ring.... for this year. :o))))
