Orstraya Day

... or there abouts. We went up to The Entrance on the Sunday after Australia Day. We heard that the F3 was a carpark on Australia Day and The Entrance was still pretty busy on the Sunday. A nice day though and every time we go we say we'll go back again soon.

It was a sunny day but the breeze coming off the water made it quite chilly at times. James ended up in long trousers and a jumper, I ended up sunburnt even though I was in the sun for 5 minutes going to fetch Georgie.

Georgie was so excited when we got there, she could see "beach water" and there is also a merry go round and some good play equipment as well as this groovy little kids pool. The water was white in this little pool from the amount of chlorine in it.... erk. But the kids love it. Very hard to get Georgie to stand still for a photo.

They all love to put their hands over the water spouts and send the water in all directions - distressing for parents who are trying to take photos or just coming in to collect their little ones.

She loved these flowers, I think because there's water bubbling up underneath her... kept making her giggle.

They've done a great job with this little water park. It's so bright and colourful.

We wanted to bring the kids to The Entrance to see the pelican feeding - near Australia Day is not the day to do this. Dan and Pop tried to get Georgie to go out on the sandbar opposite where they were feeding the pelicans but she was more interested in making sandcastles than pelican feeding or going onto a sandbar. She's theLadybug on Daddy's shoulders here. She did end up on Pop's shoulders but still didn't get a good view so wasn't much interseted... instead she wanted to go play on the Clowns.

Yep, you saw it here first folks, that's Dan taking a day off (ok so it was a Sunday) but I think he only checked his Blackberry maybe once or twice that day ;o)

Which clowns did you want to go and see Georgie?

(Georgie's demo actually moved and the pointer finger came over to her mouth to show you where you put the balls) We got her to do this demo at least 6 times, it was quite amusing. She can always get a career as a ball swallowing clown.
