James was 3 at the end of July and there is no prize for guessing what he got for his birthday!
Here he is just before ripping into the big present that was hiding from him in the dining room.
It's a Thomas the Tank Engine helmet to go with the Thomas the Tank Engine two wheeler (+ training wheels, he doesn't have his sister's skill on the bike)
Every bit of it is covered in Thomas. He thought it was perfect.

Presents before brekky - cool.
At a later date we had a little family celebration.
More presents.
A 'falling down bridge' for our Island of Sodor. This is exactly what he wanted because he rang Nanna from the shop and described it to her exactly and asked her to buy it for his birthday.
Some clothes - with Thomas insignia of course.
But from Grandma and Granddad came a Bullseye and Jessie. He wasn't expecting that!
He loves Toy Story almost as much as Thomas .... ok maybe not that much but he does love them, and Bullseye and Jessie are his favourites.
I have to say that 7 months later he is still playing with all the Thomas things and Jessie and Bullseye get played with alongside Barbie and Tawny (which G got for Christmas). All his Toy Story characters get played with nearly every day and you can often come out into the living room and find the whole lot of them (including Mr 3) sitting on the lounge watching one of the 3 Toy Story movies.
Sisters are good at ripping open packets for you.
Ah the cake.
He was adamant that he was having a 'Henry' cake. Henry, of course, being number 3.
Hmmm my cake book doesn't have a 'Henry' in it so I had to improvise.
He was very happy with it.
Don't think he's being rude here, I just had to get a photo of how he holds up three fingers.
We think he might grow up to be a rocker. ;o)
The three little pigs symbolise his love of Peppa Pig and that made him very happy too.

Funny how quickly the learn that once you blow out the candles you have to cut the cake! Three hands cutting this one.
After lunch and cake it was time to take the bike for a ride.
We all got a go at running up and down the street!
It's great having the parent control though, doesn't break your back.
