Merry Christmas

I had this grand idea of putting the kids in their Christmas clothes, shoving some reindeer antlers on them and taking some photos for this year's Christmas card.
[It was so simple last year! Surely it would be no harder to get a 16 month old to sit still than a 4 month old.... ha! Last year's photo below... they've changed so much.]

Shortly into this process Dan reminded me of the old adage - never work with animals or children, or in this case, animals dressed as children.

Oh doesn't she look sweet? She spent the whole time whinging about going back to play with the little girl from up the end of the road.

Still, she can turn it on when needed.

But The Boy Wonder? Well he'd just woken up from his nap and although he puts the reindeer antlers on pretty much every day, there was no way he was sitting there and co-operating.

Georgie tried to help (well she was told she could go back and play if I got a photo of the two of them so she really tried to help), but he wasn't having a bar of it.

Oh yeah, perfect.

Kid, you should be on this end of the camera.

An iceblock helps, a little, but he still won't look at me.

Well they're sort of together, and at least both wearing reindeer antlers - perhaps we'll get that fantastic shot yet!

It's as good as it gets - take the photo!

(If you're on my Christmas Card list you'll get a different photo, they're on their way... sort of.)

We eventried the cubby house.... but The Boy Wonder took off inside.

There he is... there he goes. (And the fluffy antlers are Georgie's, but he likes the fluff.)

Ah, someone willing to sit still and have their Christmas photo taken.

You go Wonder Dog.

(Bonnie is due to go back to her owners on Christmas Day... we'll miss you Bon - we won't miss the dog poo though. She'll just be across the road so the kids will still get to see her. The Boy Wonder is going to be lost with out her.)

Oh right, so now you're happy, on your way to mischief.

That's me, with the singing antlers, in the window of the Dualis.

I hope that was Granma's footpath shopping coming in handy for background.
