Just because I had to

Well it is the silly season, so I decided that on top of everything else I was doing I really wanted to knit a Christmas tree.
The wool is all from a charity shop, and I couldn't get all the same colour so it started off pretty variegated.

I finished it and took it down to Mum's to felt.
Did I mention it was silly season?

It does make a good gnomes hat though.

I decorated it too.

And then tried to felt it.

It had about 6 goes in Mum's washing machine and I ended up giving it another go when I came home.

The end result.
