Dan's away in Brisbane for the week and he often says that he catches up on his life by reading the Blog.
Well Daddy... today was one that Georgie is going to talk about for a looooong time.
While we were playing outside this afternoon she discovered this butterfly on the swings.
And was just thrilled to bits.
In terms of butterflies, it was a nice little butterfly, but seemed to be on its last legs.It still moved round, but didn't try to fly away at any time.
It did survive the dog lying on it too.

Georgie is calling it a tiger butterfly.
I'm no good with butterfly types so it could be.
(She did name it... assuming that it was a he....but I just can't remember it right now, will add that later)
I thought she'd be too scared to touch it.Well she does have an irrational fear of worms, but nope, she was more than happy to touch it.

It even got a pat
and came down under the shade,
even inside to watch Numberjacks with her...yep, sitting with her.

We put it outside on the flowers to see out what we thought might have been its last few hours.

But later we found him still round the flower boxes so we got a special container (no lid) to see if he'd kindly spend his last few hours in there so we can take him to Kindy on Wednesday.Hopefully he'll still be there in the morning and the dog won't have inhaled him.
Anyway she was so thrilled to spend all this time up close to a real butterfly (they've been doing a lot of work on bugs at Kindy).
It will be interesting to see if her pictures of butterflies (of which she does at least one a day) change from now on.
Oh and The Boy Wonder? Well I lay down and closed my eyes for a few minutes this afternoon and he bit the top of the "magic" textas. Supergirl just watched him do it!!!!
