Paradise is...

...someone coming in and cleaning your room every time you leave it.

Of course it's a little disturbing to start with, I mean you leave lots of personal junk lying around and they tidy all that up too. But you could live with it, easily. Go out to do your shopping.. the maid pops in and makes the room look like a five star room again.

We had a few problems last night. Jetlag set in for us and poor Jamie found it hard to sleep once he woke up in the middle of the night. Mind you when he did wake up we were sitting out in the restaurant talking with the VP of Europe and his lovely wife. Jamie figured it was a party and was on for it. We came back to the room at midnight but he didn't get to sleep until 3am ish. He didn't wake till 10.30am and then had a bottle and went back to sleep until 1pm. So our bodies are all screwed up. It's kind of hard to tell the time here too, the sun sets quite late. Our bodies are probably still hanging on to a little Sydney time.

Oh and the river round our rooms is called 'The Lazy River' - you just hop on a tube and float around the river, drinks in hand. Nice hey? Yesterday afternoon we went for a swim in the infinity pool. The edge looks like it drops off into the ocean.

YS tipped Jamie's face into the water (accidently) but he wasn't too keen on that. Still he liked the whole pool thing but was most fascinated with the enormous grey seagulls that sat on the lilos and the edge of the pool having a drink.

For your information the seagulls didn't speak Australian (think Finding Nemo) they seemed to speak some sort of Spanish, we probably needed Dora The Explorer and Boots to help us out! Oh and I saw some strange bird last night - looked a bit like a scrub turkey and the Americans standing next to me decided they were male peacocks. I didn't say anything....... and today I spotted and iguana sunning itself on the rocks, but my camera was flat (drat). Haven't seen any whales - but it's the middle of the day here and shade and airconditioning are the nicest place to be.

More photos soon. Dan is hooking up the monitor so Jamie can sleep and we can go floating round the Lazy River. Does it get any better? Oh and every night while we're at dinner they leave little gift things on our bed. Last night it was a turtle ornament. Wonder what tonight will be.....

We're missing Georgie (well I am) she'd love it here. There is a big kids centre and some children around. I think it would be easier with either both of them here or both of them at home, however James is too young for that right now.
