Christmas version II - on the Farm

What a big day - first of all I have to say that it wasn't that warm on Christmas morning, not like the 38 degrees it's been in the post Christmas week.

James woke at 6ish and once fed he came downstairs to play on his mat not in the least bit phased by the *giant* pile of presents under the tree (with more to come once Rick and the Canadians brought over their pile) or the presents Santa left.

The Christmas tree knee deep in presents.

From memory (and at that time of morning it can be a bit blury) Georgie got up a smidgen before her usual 7.30, and was stunned to find the big ball pit Santa left for her and James. She was thrilled to see their names on the tag and was keen to get in and test it out. Jamie really enjoyed himself in the balls too and we found that he could jam himself against the middle and the outside and sit up himself. He just loved playing in there with Georgie.

Georgie found it really hard to wait until everyone got up to open presents - as you would when there is a giant pile of presents wrapped in Disney Princess paper. She could identify Santa's presents, and then the presents from Santa which were hers (and the little Christmas stocking Granma had gotten her the day before - she'd asked for a stocking to hang all month and was thrilled to wake up and find Santa had filled it) so once Dan, Granma and Grandad were awake we let her (and Jamie) open their Santa presents....

Mr and Mrs Potato-Head - how did Santa know??? Well Ok she did tell him everytime she saw him.

All up and dressed in Christmas clothes. Isn't Santa's littlest elf so cute? Granma made this Christmas dress too, bit of drama about wearing it but eventually we got it on.

While we were waiting for the guys staying in the Cottage to arrive (Rick and the Canadians) Georgie was jumping all over the house when she saw Santa coming out from over there. She was yelling at us that Santa was in the wrong house, he'd gotten lost. It wasn't until "Santa Tim" came through the front door that I got what she was talking about. So here he is our very own Santa and of course his very cute little elf helper.

Me and the Santa Crew.

Santa's Mum.

We gave Georgie her own little Karaoke machine - a big hit. She was a bit shy of her own voice to start with but she'll perform to anyone who walks through the door now. And if she happens to tire of singing she'll pop her 'boom box' down and show of her highly amusing dancing skills.

We gave Jamie this contraption which he can stand in (Ok he's still a little little but he can get one foot on the bottom) and his seat swivels so he can play with all his toys. (It's like a walker but they are unsafe so this one has no wheels and is more bouncy.) When he outgrows standing in it, the top links together with the bottom and becomes a race track.
Jamie really enjoyed being able to stand up like a 'big boy'.

Mummy and her little elf.
Help me I have all these presents to open! Ok so they're not all mine, a pile in there is but that giant pile is made up with Georgie's, James' and my presents. We nearly got lost in it!

Lunch! Clockwise - Great Granny, Uncle Rick, (Uncle) Nick, (Aunty) Zoe, Grandad, Daddy and James, Unkie Tim, Mummy and Granma. (Georgie was so overstimulated by this time she was off watching tv and didn't want her photo taken)

A small pile of loot left at the end of the night.
