It went unsaid that this year we'd be visiting Wangaratta again for the fireworks and possibly the movie (it turned out it wasn't a good one for the kids so it was just fireworks).
This time we were more prepared and remembered that all the places you can get food on New Year's Eve pretty much shut at 6pm (the pubs stay open but you have to book). We had dinner at the pub and then headed down to the park.
The kids knew the drill and went racing off to look at everything and we set up the 'sitting and waiting' area.
So Granma - another year over hey? Finished all those projects you wanted to get done?
Never mind, get crocheting now...
James letting you know how old he'll be this year.
His birthday is in July, but yep, he's counting down from the new year.
This is waiting time James style.
Gran-Nana (who is staying down at Beechworth for the year).
Granddad trying very hard to sit still and be as normal as he can be.
Dan
Me.
James wanted to take a photo of his ipod - to remember the occasion, of course.
And Gigi, who found the face painter as soon as we arrived.
The kids managed to con someone into buying them glow in the dark stuff - it was probably Granma, she's the easiest to con into anything :o).
Georgia discovered that swinging hers around made it all look nice and James was just happy to wave his around.
Gi hates the fireworks. The loud noise makes her really really upset so she sat with headphones on, curled up under a blanket and a tucked in beside a person for the whole firework show. I'm pretty sure she didn't see any of it.
James is your typical 3 year old firebug and enjoyed it.
