It's cool to be 6

This year we decided the party would be at home and we'd just invite a few people.
The theme was 'Dress Up'.

It was me and Dan vs a room full of 5 and 6 year olds so we had to keep it as simple as we could.
Balloons are always a hit, so we hired some helium and filled the back room with balloons and then we filled the trampoline with blow up balloons (we also put some helium ones in there too once Dan put a net over the top).

James tested it out.


It was loads of fun.

He's in there somewhere - giggling his head off.

She asked for a dress up box in red. It's supposed to be a treasure chest with clothes in it.

Making some 'pet' helium balloons (the balloons are attached to little bags of sand and they drew on faces)
Decorating cupcakes. This was a big hit.
I bought some face paint for the occasion and I know she looks like she's got half a butterfly on her but really it's a butterfly side on. My face painting skills need working on.
Here's trouble. We had a treasure hunt and he's hanging onto his bubbles here. The rest of them filled up the lolly bags they'd just decorated.
He had fun playing with the kids, but he's still a little shy so ended up hanging onto me a fair bit.
