We stopped at the Entrance on our way back home from Newcastle. We'd promised Georgie she could go to the beach, but it started to rain on the way down and she fell asleep in the car - too much partying the night before. But still we stopped and woke her up, you know what she would have been like if we didn't. We grabbed some morning tea and found this cute merry go round to ride on (at $1.50 a ride it was cheaper than the crappy little rides at the shop) which she loved. There's also great play equipment at The Entrance and she loved running around with all the other kids - even though it was starting to rain.
While she was playing she took off suddenly towards the waters edge, with Dan in hot pursuit - she'd seen a pelican and people feeding the birds.
She loved the pelican and just kept saying 'I pat it, I pat it'. Explaining just didn't seem to work, she was taken with him and wanted to get closer.
Eventually the poor pelican took off with Georgie in hot pursuit.
